Our Storage Licence Agreement

When you arrive at the store you will need to complete our storage licence agreement. You will be need to read and sign this before you can move in to your storage room. The storage licence agreement we use is in the form prescribed by the Self Storage Association of the UK (as amended) 2004.

Our Agreement With Our Clients

We agree to grant you, and you accept, a licence to use and access the room identified as your storage room, on the conditions set out below.  We urge you to read these conditions carefully before signing the storage licence. All such conditions will be binding on your signing of the agreement.Without prejudice to the importance of you reading all such conditions please acknowledge that you have read the conditions which are referred to below. This licence shall not create a tenancy or lease or the relationship of landlord and tenant between you and us.

Main Conditions of Storage

• it is and will remain your obligation to lock and secure the room; alarm the room; remove your padlock upon vacating your room; and keep it from unauthorised entry;
• our obligations as to what you can store and how you can use the room as set out in the agreement;
• late payment charges and other additional charges payable by you for failure to pay on time as set out in the agreement;
• our right to exercise a lien over your goods and to sell these in the event of non-payment of our fees;
• your obligation to check that the room is suitable for storing the goods and the purpose you intend as its use;
• we do not ordinarily insure the goods. It is a requirement of our self storage agreement that the goods be insured, and we therefore offer insurance cover for this purpose. You have an obligation to insure the goods.  In particular, please note the warranties which you are providing to us, including that the goods are not worth more than the full replacement value indicated by yourself, as part of the insurance agreement;
• termination of the storage licence agreement, including the requirement to give us seven days written notice;
• your notification to us of any loss of or damage to your goods.

Changes to Your Account

• You will need to inform us of an alternative contact and the details of any authorised person(s) that you wish to give access to your room
• You must inform us in writing of any changes to your details, your alternate contact details, your authorised persons or any storage or insurance terms that you wish to vary in the licence.

Insurance

• it is your responsibility to ensure adequate insurance while your goods are stored with us;
• items placed in self storage or otherwise located on our premises are done so at your own risk;
• it is a condition of our storage licence agreement that the goods be insured;
• we urge you to make sure that you read and understand all of the terms, conditions and exclusions of our insurance policy where you take cover under it, before signing the storage licence agreement.
