Our MD, Frederic de Ryckman de Betz and our store manager, Sonia Pirie have just returned from a successful self storage conference in Vilamoura, Portugal. Attending the FEDESSA (Federation of European Self Storage Associations) annual self storage conference as an operator member of the Self Storage Association of the UK, Fred and Sonia attended seminars on topics as diverse as insurance in self storage through to a presentation by a futurologist! What does the future hold for self storage? The event also provided an opportunity to mingle with other operators in the storage industry, allowing us to compare ideas and best practice in self storage, together with meeting exhibitors providing bespoke self storage packaging products and other items. The event was seen as a great success by all who attended, and the positive vibes coming from both self storage operators and suppliers alike made a refreshing change after three difficult years. The future for self storage is bright!
