Leyton post codes for London storage

The districts of Leyton and Leytonstone use the post codes of London E5, E7, E10, E11, E15 and E20, which cover a widespread area. The main Leyton post code of London E10 has not benefited from the regeneration schemes initiated by the Olympics in 2012. The area consists of large Edwardian terrace houses, 1930s houses, and some post war estates. Housing is still “affordable”, so some upsizing and downsizing home moves take place which generate a requirement for temporary storage. Regeneration has recently started in London E11 for several low rise blocks of purpose built flats, so the demand for temporary storage in this post code has started to grow. Our Bow self storage facility is local to all these post codes and is an ideal short term or long term storage solution.

Information about Leyton

The parish of Leyton includes Leytonstone, and Leyton had been part of the county of Essex since Anglo-Saxon times, until it was incorporated with the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

Leyton is famous for its football teams, Leyton Orient and Leyton FC. In addition, the Lee Valley Ice Centre is home to the Lee Valley Lions Ice Hockey Club who play in the English National Ice Hockey League.

Lea Bridge Road, Hoe Street, and the High Street are part of the old historic road leading to Waltham Abbey via Epping Forest. The area is now famous for being one of the more multi-cultural parts of Britain which prompts a diverse range of cultural events and cooking in the borough. The local council has made the area more presentable by encouraging high street premises to change their bright neon signs for subtle painted signs.

The neighbourhood is close to the Olympic Park regeneration zone, and there are still some affordable properties, probably costing around 10% less that nearby Walthamstow, which is a few miles to the North. Nine out of 10 buyers come from outside the area, from places such as Hackney or Stoke Newington where property prices are more expensive, which means that many people moving into Leyton are first time buyers.

David Beckham, Jonathon Ross and Graham Gooch were born at the Whipps Cross University Hospital, which runs one of Britain’s busiest A & E departments.

Providing easy access to Walthamstow, Stratford, Wanstead, and the rest of East London, Leyton is conveniently situated for all purposes, including access to storage at Attic Self Storage in Bow.
