  • Self Storage with no fuss!

Attic Self Storage celebrated the tenth anniversary of officially opening our doors on the 2nd April 2018. Ten whole years. A decade of doing business. Hip hip hooray!

Something Great Came From 2008

2008 wasn’t a vintage year for many people. It was the year a lot of bubbles burst. But Attic Self Storage bucked the trend.

We were a successful start–up in the middle of a world–wide–credit–crunch–banking–collapse–financial–meltdown and have survived (thrived) through recession, austerity, cut-backs, volcanic eruptions, the housing crisis, Brexit and ‘Bake Off’ switching channels.

Making Our Mark On The Map

Our debut depot was carefully constructed on the banks of the A12 in East London. But we didn’t stop there. From our not so humble beginnings at 500 Wick Lane, Bow E3 2TB we have expanded our operation to include storage facilities in Marylebone, Harrow and Beckton. So now we can offer state-of-the-art storage to people right across the capital…

Improving The View

From the very start we decided that we wanted to have a positive impact on the postcodes where we do business.

Our original Attic Self Storage HQ is surrounded by lovingly tended lavender beds and we’ve reclaimed any waste ground by cutting back the weeds and re-seeding the soil to create a miniature wild flower meadow.

As spring arrives each year our plants and flowers add a splash of colour to a drab landscape and provide pollen and nectar for our tiny winged neighbours. We are fully paid up supporters of FRIENDSOFTHEHONEYBEE.com.

A Decade Of Donations

Our commitment to the communities where we work has led to us investing time and money in a series of local charities and events. We sponsor Hackney Rugby Football Club and the London Rugby World Cup 10-a-side tournament. We provide storage and support for The Pride run in Victoria Park each year. We regularly donate a vanload of cupboard items to our local food hub, Foodcycle in Hackney.

Patron Of The Arts

We’ve sponsored Stratford East Theatre and The Stratford East Singers, and more recently we’ve contributed cash and window space to artboxlondon.org a really worthwhile Islington-based charity who give people with learning difficulties access to the arts. We’ve even collaborated with Central Saint Martins to turn the outside wall of our King’s Cross building into a public gallery space for street artists. Visit www.marketroadgallery.org if you’d like more information about how to get involved.

Thousands Of Satisfied Customers

Attic Self Storage has won a number of awards for providing exceptional customer service in the last ten years. We do our utmost to build great relationships with the folks that use our facilities. And what a varied bunch they are:

We’ve looked after DVDs and publicity material for Sci-Fi-London; we’ve provided sound-proof practice space for professional drummer Jan-Vincent Velazco; we’re a storage centre for The Hubbub Foundation, a social enterprise that works like a creative agency for environmental issues; we’ve been a launch pad for a craft ale business – Dam Tasty Beer – which was so successful they had to move to their very own bottling plant.

It All Adds Up Across The Years

Since opening our doors in 2008, Attic has been the self storage company of choice for over 5,000 customers. We’ve sold more than 15,000 boxes, 2,000 padlocks and billed over £8 million.

We’d like to say a massive “thank you” to all our customers, staff, suppliers and investors. You are all a continuing part of our success story.

Ten years is traditionally meant to be a tin anniversary, but with your help we’ve already achieved gold.

Many happy returns!
