Do I need insurance for stored items while travelling?

Yes, it is a requirement of the Self Storage Association that all customers have cover in place for their belongings while in storage. We offer Protection Cover for added convenience, or you can arrange suitable cover through an alternative provider. When booking a storage unit online, you can choose whether or not to include this at checkout. Alternatively, speak to a member of our friendly team if you'd like more information.

How long can I store my belongings for?

For as long as you need! Whether you're heading abroad for a few weeks, taking a work placement overseas or relocating for several months, our flexible storage rentals allow you to store for short or extended periods with a minimum stay of just one week.

Is travel storage safe if I’m overseas for several months?

At Attic Self Storage, we've designed our facilities to give you complete peace of mind while you're abroad, so you can focus on your travels knowing everything is being looked after until you return. Our facilities feature state-of-the-art 24-hour CCTV monitoring, motion sensors, perimeter fencing and early fire detection systems. Storage units and hallways are also well-lit and clean. What happens if your return date changes?

Travel plans don't always go to schedule. If you decide to stay abroad longer than expected, simply speak to your store team and we'll help extend your storage rental. If you return earlier than planned, you may also be eligible for a refund on unused rent, helping you avoid paying for storage you no longer need.
