The market road gallery was launched in 2017. We believe it was the UK’s first bookable public art gallery. It’s a 65 foot long wall located on the back of the Attic Self Storage facility. A partnership between Central Saint Martins and Attic Self Storage, it offers artists a means to book a space to create their own individual, large-scale piece of art for public display.
The aim is for this to be an evolving space with a continuous rotation of images and artworks created by local artists. So far we have seen an inspiring range of imagery from the bright and bold to more thought provoking pieces.
Each space on the market road gallery is bookable on a rotational basis and the public can also vote and leave comments on individual pieces directly on the website.
