Attic @ 10 Downing Street

The Rt Hon Lord Mandelson, First Secretary of State, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills (what a title!)

Frederic de Ryckman de Betz, Managing Director of Attic Self Storage Limited, was invited to Number Ten Downing Street to meet the Prime Minister. The evening was held to celebrate the success of Britain’s small and medium sized businesses, and was very well attended. While The Prime Minister was unfortunately unable to attend as a result of a crisis summit in Belgium (dealing with the Greek debt crisis), The Rt Hon Lord Mandelson stepped in to the breach for the evening. In addition to meeting Lord Mandelson, Frederic was able to meet with Sir Alan Sugar (and avoided getting fired), along with Claire Young, a finalist from the BBC’s hit show “The Apprentice”. Having survived this encounter as well, Frederic chose to mix in less charged circles with Lord Myners as well as Adam Jackson from the Enterprise Directorate, and the youngest member of the Federation for Small Businesses, aged only 14, along with other guests. “I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening” commented Frederic. “An hour and a half went by far too quickly, and I’m determined now to make it my business to be invited again!”
