An Islington based charity using art to improve the inclusion of people with learning disabilities and autism
Artbox London is a registered charity based in Islington, London that aims to improve the well-being and inclusion of people with learning disabilities and autism. They were established in 2011 and work in a range of areas to provide opportunities.
Their work covers activities such as organising workshops and trips which provide a social opportunity to reduce isolation and loneliness as well as build participants confidence and skills. The organised trips also provide access to London’s cultural scene that might otherwise not be possible.
Artbox London also arrange exhibitions at their gallery in Holloway. Viewers have the chance to meet and talk with the artist and the opportunity for the artists to sell their work and gain some financial independence. Artists can also license their work through Artbox London who actively offer pieces to businesses throughout London and the UK.
