Seasonal Stock – John Lewis

We were approached by Nick, PR & Marketing Coordinator from the John Lewis store in Westfield City, Stratford with a particular problem.

John Lewis is well known for offering exceptional quality and a first class customer experience. As part of that, every year, we all get to look forward to the new look Christmas store. However, this time there was an issue.

“We planned our Christmas store in great detail, and the whole team was delighted when the time finally arrived, the decorations were delivered and we set about preparing the store. It’s a team effort and we were pleased with the results – but there was a problem. We were left with a quantity of boxes and packaging materials, into which all our Christmas decorations had to be re-packed the following January.”

That’s where Attic Self Storage came in. Local to the John Lewis in Stratford, we were able to send our own vans with men to collect all the boxes, and bring them in to store. We stored them until the following January, and then returned them to the store. The team at John Lewis couldn’t have been happier.

“We experienced a first-class service from Attic, from the first call with Sonia to the last. The team was extremely helpful, professional and went out of their way to make life easier for us. The whole process was tailored precisely to our needs, and really, it couldn’t have gone any smoother.”

The price that we quote for storage costs includes all service charges, maintenance charges, and rates and also VAT where this applies.  You will need to make sure you have a Protection Plan but we are able to arrange this for you too. Other than that, if you’re storing at Bow, you just need a padlock. You are welcome to bring your own or we do sell them in-store too if this is easier. That’s it – there are no other charges. What’s more, unlike some other companies, we provide complimentary 24-hour free access, free WiFi, use of our trolleys, and a free goods receipt and dispatch service. If you have any concerns about costs then please speak to a member of our team.

We are able to protect your goods with Protection Plan using an arrangement with our industry specialist insurance brokers. With knowledge of the self-storage industry and customer needs, in the unlikely event of loss or damage they handle and process claims quickly and with minimum hassle. We do need to charge for the administration costs of this protection and these charges will be added to your storage costs. You are perfectly welcome to take out your own insurance cover but since it is a requirement of the Self Storage Association UK, we will have to ask for evidence that you have this in place before you can move your things in. Most of our customers do however prefer to use our arrangements as it is the most convenient option.

We invoice all of our clients on a 4-weekly basis, so you’ll always make your payment on the same day every four weeks. We accept credit or debit card payments but don’t accept cash or cheques. You can manage all your payments easily from your online account.
